Job summary:
Leading UK University in Northern Emirates is seeking to recruit Lecturer in Business and Accounting Department. They are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable Lecturer to join their existing team. The Lecturer’s responsibilities include teaching a number of classes, attending conferences, seminars, conducting research, and supervising students. You should be able to collaborate with colleagues, advise teaching assistants, and tackle several administrative tasks.
To be successful as an Lecturer, you should be able to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities. Outstanding candidates have excellent management knowledge, networking skills, and the ability to build strong professional relationships with both students and colleagues.
Job responsibilities
Developing and delivering course material, curricula, and syllabus.
Assisting with the training and recruitment of new lecturers, teaching assistants, and Professors.
Supervising, advising, and mentoring teaching assistants and graduate students.
To induct students appropriately, to provide academic advice, counseling, educational guidance, and tutorial support to students, including individual learning plans as directed.
To set, evaluate, and mark students’ course work, homework and other assignments promptly, and to record marks on LMS as requested, in accordance with the Assessment and Marking Policy and procedures.
Participating in faculty and departmental meetings.
Shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting students for graduate programs.
Organizing guest seminars and faculty events where students can interact with established industry professionals.
Conduct workshop for Management Development Programme/Executive Education
To assess, track, plan, deliver art instruction in didactic and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement, progress and developmental needs to students, academic and other managers/colleagues, including student records.
To write half-termly reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work, by deadlines given, and provide regular estimated grades and feedback on tests as required. Maintain effective records of lessons, grades awarded and marks given in class. Ensure accurate attendance records are kept for every lesson.
Proctor exams prepare exemplars for the respective Units assigned.
Ensuring all the assessments and exemplars are approved by the Internal Verifier and Program Director.
Job requirements
Job Requirements:
Must have a Masters Degree in a related discipline with relevant teaching experience.
Minimum of Two(2) years of teaching experience in an academic setting (International School/Institute like HND centre - BTEC)
Familiarity with HND centre, college and university programs, majors, academic processes, etc.
Excellent teaching, presentation skill, active listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
