Job summary:
We are hiring an experienced and visionary Principal to lead a well-established British Curriculum School in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the academic excellence, operational leadership, and overall strategic direction of the school. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and the UAE regulatory framework (KHDA).
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Strategic Direction
Define and articulate the school’s vision and mission, ensuring all stakeholders understand and act in alignment
Develop and implement school improvement plans to raise academic performance and overall school quality .
2. Academic & Curriculum Oversight
Lead curriculum design and delivery, following the UK National Curriculum (EYFS–Year 13) and KHDA guidelines.
Monitor and assess teaching standards, student progress, behavior, and attendance
3. Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, manage, and mentor teaching and non-teaching staff; establish robust performance evaluation and professional development systems
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
4. Student Welfare & School Culture
Ensure a safe, inclusive environment; implement policies for health, safety, pastoral care, and behavior management .
Oversee extracurricular programs, assemblies, and off-campus activities
5. Operational Oversight & Compliance
Manage school operations, facilities, budgets and financial performance
Ensure full compliance with KHDA, BSO and other regulatory standards
6. Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents, governors, community, and education authorities
Serve as the school’s external representative, advocating its values and achievements.
Job requirements
Education - Master’s or Doctorate in Education Management, Leadership, or related field and MOE Equivalency.
Leadership Experience - Minimum 5 years in senior leadership (Principal, VP, Head of Section) at British-curriculum schools, preferably in GCC/UAE .
Regulatory Knowledge - Deep understanding of KHDA inspection frameworks(including MOE) and UK National Curriculum
Skills - Strong strategic vision, excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
