Job summary:

Our client, a prestigious university based in Ras Al Khaimah is looking to recruit Student Services Manager, who will be responsible for the overall functioning and performance of the Department of Student Services, providing leadership and direction with respect to policies, practices, systems and operations in student services, student engagement, campus/resident life and counselling services, as well as Sports facilities and other areas as assigned under the Student Services. This responsibility is translated through daily leadership and guidance of the team in areas related to student’s services and operations, to ensure that best practices are maintained and aligned with the University strategic objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to enhance student engagement, integration, and retention.

  • Oversee student orientation, graduation, extracurricular activities, clubs, and student council.

  • Coordinate events that promote cultural diversity, leadership, and personal development.

  • Lead initiatives related to student counselling, health and wellness support, and accommodations for students with special needs.

  • Overseeing disciplinary actions for student misconduct, including violations of academic integrity standards or the universities code of conduct

  • Provide guidance and support for students facing academic, personal, or social challenges.

  • Manage student grievance procedures and ensure timely resolution in coordination with relevant departments.

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Student Services office.

  • Maintain accurate student records, reports, and case files in compliance with data protection and institutional policies.

  • Monitor student satisfaction through feedback mechanisms and implement improvement plans.

  • Ensure all student service operations align with institutional policies and UAE regulatory requirements (e.g., MOE, CAA).

  • Contribute to the development and periodic review of student policies, handbooks, and code of conduct.

  • Serve as a liaison between students and academic/administrative departments.

  • Coordinate with external partners and community organizations for student internships, outreach, and support services.

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Facilities, and other departments to address student-related needs.

Job requirements

  • Master's or equivalent degree in Education from an accredited or recognized institution.

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, of which 3 years should have been in a managerial position, preferably in higher education.

  • Previous working experience in an university/college environment a must.

  • Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
